Online Tutoring Demos

Information for Online Faculty

As part of a collaborative strategic effort between Academic Affairs and eLearning Services, online tutoring services for students will be piloted during the upcoming spring semester.
Because faculty play a critical role in the delivery of quality teaching and learning at Prince George's Community College, faculty are invited to contribute to the vendor selection process.

On Thursday, December 9, from 1:30-4 p.m., in A 221, two widely used vendors of online tutoring in higher education will be on campus to demonstrate their services. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss how these services will specifically benefit our students.
Please make every effort to attend the sessions as outlined below. Forward this information to your coordinators and faculty who teach online in your department:
1:30-2:15 p.m. - Demo Vendor #1: NetTutor (http://www.nettutor.com/nt/entry.cgi?cid=nttr)
2:15-2:30 p.m. - Q&A Vendor #1
2:30 - 3:00 p.m. - Discussion/Break (setup for next session)
3:00 - 3:45 p.m. - Demo Vendor #2: SmartThinking (http://www.smarthinking.com/)
3:45 - 4:00 p.m. - Q&A Vendor #2
